Lily Musengwa
Lily Musengwa is a geospatial and emergency management professional with a strong interdisciplinary background spanning emergency management, cultural and geospatial studies, anthropology, and geography. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Emergency Management and Cultural & Geospatial Studies from Arkansas Tech University, as well as a master’s degree in Intercultural Management from Université Bourgogne Europe.
Lily currently serves as a Senior GIS Specialist with The Resiliency Initiative, where she provides geospatial analysis and technical solutions in support of resilience and emergency management initiatives. Her work includes hazard mitigation mapping, evacuation planning, and the development of digital tools and applications to enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness.
Her professional experience bridges both the public and private sectors, including roles with GlobalLogic supporting advanced AI and machine learning initiatives for a Fortune 10 technology company, as well as earlier work with Walmart’s Emergency Operations Center and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management. Across these roles, she has contributed to data analysis, GIS application development, and decision-support tools used in real-world emergency response environments.
In addition to her technical expertise in GIS, ArcGIS platforms, and data analytics, Lily brings experience in project management, team leadership, and organizational operations. She has successfully led teams, increased operational performance, and built community partnerships through previous leadership roles. Her international experience and academic foundation in intercultural studies further strengthen her ability to work across diverse communities and stakeholder groups.
