The Resiliency Initiative (TRI) today announced the appointment of Faith Newton as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Newton steps into the role following three years of significant contributions to the organization’s growth and operational maturity. During her tenure, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening TRI’s service delivery, expanding client relationships, and building the internal infrastructure necessary to support continued scale.

In March 2026, The Resiliency Institute, TRI’s 501c3 reached an exciting milestone with the completion of its first-ever virtual Resiliency Academy.

Over two days, a dynamic group of professionals from across sectors came together to strengthen their skills in crisis management, business continuity, and all-hazards preparedness. What made the experience especially meaningful was not just the content, but the collaboration, participants sharing insights, asking thoughtful questions, and learning from one another in real time.

Joe Threat led a session on critical infrastructure and preparedness in a dynamic risk environment, exploring how organizations can better anticipate, adapt, and respond to evolving threats. Andrea Davis presented on strategic resiliency planning, sharing insights on how organizations can build more adaptive, sustainable preparedness approaches in an increasingly complex risk landscape.

Andrea Davis, President and CEO of The Resiliency Initiative (TRI), was recently featured on Episode 224 of The Resilient Journey Podcast, hosted by Mark Hoffman. In this episode, titled “Good Governance: Resilience Edition,” Andrea shares her perspective on one of the most pressing challenges in resilience programs today: demonstrating value at the executive level.

During the conversation, Andrea discusses how resilience professionals can strengthen governance by aligning their programs with organizational priorities and communicating risk in language that resonates with leadership. She emphasizes the importance of moving beyond static reporting and instead delivering insights that are relevant, actionable, and clearly tied to business operations.

Each year, DRI International, the leading nonprofit in business continuity and resilience education and certification, honors the leaders and innovators in the fields of continuity management, technology recovery, and crisis and risk management. In late December, DRI announced that The Resiliency Initiative was one of this year's finalists for the Awards of Excellence in the Product/Service Provider of the Year category.

As we close out the year, The Resiliency Initiative (TRI) extends our sincere gratitude to the interns who supported our work and contributed meaningfully to our mission. Their curiosity, professionalism, and commitment to learning strengthened our team and reinforced the importance of investing in the next generation of resilience leaders.

This year, we were fortunate to welcome Nancy Carrouth and Andrew Gerboth to TRI. Each brought a unique perspective and skill set that enhanced our work across multiple areas

Last Friday marked an exciting milestone for The Resiliency Initiative (TRI): we officially opened our third office—right in our President & CEO Andrea Davis’s hometown of Redding, California.
