Summer Resiliency Academy Brings Professionals Together for 2.5 Days of Learning and Collaboration

TRI’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, The Resiliency Institute, recently completed its Summer Virtual Resiliency Academy, bringing professionals together for two and a half days of practical training, collaboration, and professional development.

Designed and led by experienced practitioners, the Academy provided participants with actionable strategies to strengthen resilience within their organizations and communities. Attendees explored crisis management, business continuity, risk assessment, plan development, crisis communications, training and exercises, and leadership during times of uncertainty.

Throughout the Academy, participants contributed their own perspectives and experiences, creating thoughtful discussions and meaningful opportunities for peer learning. The interactive format emphasized practical application, helping attendees translate new ideas into tools and strategies they can immediately use in their work.

The Summer Academy also featured accomplished guest instructors who shared lessons from decades of real-world emergency management and crisis leadership experience. The program concluded with an interactive tabletop exercise and professional vision-boarding session, giving participants an opportunity to apply what they learned while considering the next steps in their careers.

Through the generous support of AshBritt, The Resiliency Institute awarded scholarships to five attendees, expanding access to high-quality resilience education for professionals and organizations that may not otherwise have been able to participate.

The Resiliency Academy was created to make practical, high-quality education more accessible to professionals at every stage of their careers. Over two and a half days, participants challenged themselves, learned from one another, and built relationships that will continue well beyond the virtual classroom. That combination of education, connection, and confidence is exactly what we hoped to create.

The Summer Virtual Resiliency Academy reflects The Resiliency Institute’s broader mission to equip individuals, businesses, and communities through education, collaboration, and opportunities that strengthen resilience.

The Institute extends its gratitude to the instructors, participants, and supporters who helped make the Academy possible and looks forward to welcoming future cohorts.
