Mercy Simiyu is a seasoned public health and digital-health professional whose work bridges frontline service delivery, technology innovation, and global health systems strengthening. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and has built a distinguished career helping organizations scale impactful health interventions across low- and middle-income settings.
In her most recent role, Mercy led the development and implementation of digital tools for community health workers across multiple countries, enabling stronger data-driven decision-making at the grassroots level. She has successfully aligned public, private, and non-governmental stakeholders to deploy scalable solutions and has developed high-level strategic frameworks that translate complex health system challenges into actionable programs and technology-enabled services. Mercy’s expertise spans frontline program management, digital health strategy, partnership development, and monitoring & evaluation. Her leadership style combines rigorous analysis with practical, on-the-ground insight — a fusion that she brings to each role she undertakes.
As a member of TRI’s Advisory Board, Mercy will support TRI’s commitment to resilience, data-informed planning, and equitable impact. She will provide strategic guidance on health-technology integration, community-based service models, and cross-sector collaboration, helping ensure that our work remains both deeply grounded and far-reaching in its effect.
Outside of her core professional engagements, Mercy is passionate about mentoring emerging global health leaders and fostering capacity-building in underserved contexts. Her global perspective and operational acumen make her an invaluable addition to our board.
